Appeal October 2002: Every Y's men are our friends

Katsumi Tsujimura, Chairman of IBC Commitee
Tokyo club has five IBCs and one DBC with whitch we are doing a relationship as Y's men. I read, being glad, the report: this year, 12 Y's men and Y's menette of Tokyo Club participated in the International Convention in Sydney; and seven members in them visited Bendigo Club, our IBC, to deepen the friendship.
More than 30 years ago, I entered from the airport to the city in Halifax in the eastern part of Canada. Then, I saw the name of the Y's Men's Club declared on the gate as well as Rotary and Lyons. I knew its activity; I was excited; I asked the name of its President in YMCA; I called him from the hotel and talked variously.
After a while, another Y's men called me: "Now, our President called me. Tonight, don't you come to talk to my house?" I thought that it is precious come-on; I visited him. 10 members gathered there one after another. We talked about Y's Men's Clubs in Canada and in Japan; we rose up; we forgot that night was gotten late. I experienced an unexpected friendship.
I was not the member of their IBC. I didn't have acquaintance with them. No one introduced me to them. They entertained me because I was Y's man. Their deep friendship is still left in my heart.
