Report of Regular Meeting January 2003

The regular meeting in January is BF night. The members hung over the cold one after another with the sudden change of the temperature. The contact of absence in the day was successive. For the number of the attendees, we had a deserted regular meeting.
At once of the new year, there was a case which we should be glad about: Mr. Tetsuro Chino signed up. Under the session of Mr. Koichiro Eguchi, DSD of EMC of Toshin District, President Ms. Shigemi Sato held the ceremony of signing up. Receiving forceful pledge, the President welcomed a new member representing Y's men in the world. She put a badge to his chest.
Mr.Chino, Chairman of Permanent Parliament of Tokyo YMCA, said: "I went to various scenes as the member or the Chairman of YMCA. I became familiar with the staff and the members there. In it, I found me who don't put there more deeply. When I was searching it, I discovered a Y's Men's Clubs. Then I determined to sign up." He will work as member of the EMC committee.
Also, because it assumed that the worship donation of the Christmas regular meeting in December should be sacrificed to the YMCA international cooperation fund, we passed it to Mr. Yasuo Miyata, manager of Tokyo YMCA.
He introduced a recent activity and the work camp which is sent to Bangladesh in February and so on. It was announced that the Christmas card and the figure of New Year greeting came from domestic and oversea for the Tokyo club. Also, President Ms. Shigemi Sato and Mr. Ryozo Matsumoto, Chairman of Execution Commitee, thanked for the cooperation of the member about the new year meeting of Y's men who live in Tokyo, which the Tokyo club took charge on January 11th and reported it. Mr. Kikuo Yoshioka reported, saying there were 39 participants in the Aizu ski tour.
After the dinner, the guest speaker, Mr. Masachika Tsuji told on title of "The story on the sea" about marine water in the deep layer which is remarkable recently. He used detailed data and told the actual state interestingly. The interest of the participant was high. We were again surprised at the sharp pointing-out of a reason with several times as different price and so on.
"A new comer driver", Vice-president Mr. Hiroyuki Tanaka, appeared on the auction. He extended sales greatly by the way of livening which isn't suitable for him. After regular meeting, the interested person attempted and the welcome meeting of Mr. Chino. The guest speaker, Mr. Tsuji, did the seat. He stated the hope of the signing up. Therefore, this welcome meeting got into swing greatly.
