Appeal July 2003: At the beginning of the new year

Hiroyuki Tanaka, President
When I begin the duty of President of the Tokyo Club, I am tense for the heavy responsibility; at the same time, I am excited after a long time by the determination: "I exert". As I said in the kickoff meeting, I esteem our good tradition and I admit the importance of our achievements in the past; at the same time, I will develop new plans: the start-up of a new CS business, the holding of workshops, the fullness of 2nd regular meetings. I will realize them steady while I maintain my tension and my motivation as now. I hope to get every member's cooperation and support.
We don't have to say that the first purpose of the Y's men's clubs is to support the activity of YMCA through their service activity. To do good service, we must learn well; however, it doesn't mean that we increase merely our knowledge. I grow our club and ourselves through various practices and an experiences.
Also, we should not serve only by the duty. We will get a richer result if we serve and enjoy our friendship and our club life. To spend a more pleasant club life, let's attempt to do various devices. I expect that every members present an idea.
The service has various ways and forms. Each member will show the maximum of his "gift". First, we will do the thing which we can do; and let's go ahead little by little.
