Report of Regular Meeting February 2004

The regular meeting in February was approximately begun in the appointed time, presided by Mr. Akira Takahashi. The president, Mr. Hiroyuki Tanaka, rang the opening chime. All of the attendant members sang the Y's song. After that, we advocated the Y's principles. Mr. Kazuo Sato read the Bible. He prayed: "There be mercy and leading of God in the progress of the program of our regular meeting in February." The president introduced guests and visitors of the regular meeting in February. After that, member news, reports from the business committees and the YMCA. We congratulated the Happy Birthday and the Happy Anniversary of the members in February. Then, the important agenda item of the regular meeting in February, the election of the president and the vice-president in the following year was held under the election administration committee.
The member speech in February: Ms. Shigemi Sato spoke, entitled "Abraham's hometown". She traveled over the wide area in Iran and Iraq actually: Babylon, Karbala, Samarra, Assiriya and Nineveh. She took photograph of the archaeological ruins of Old Testament actually. She made a meaningful speech using the map, the material and the image projector of the personal computer. After that, CS„TOF hour: Mr. Ryozo Matsumoto explained the state of each donation based on the material and each of the business contents in India, Africa and Egypt as the cases of the TOF business which the donation supports. He requested cooperation by the donation.
Next, the election administration commission reported the result of the election. We elected Mr. Kano Yamamoto as the president and Mr. Toshihiko Matsuda as vice-president in the next term; they won the confidence of all the attendant members. They expressed their determination based on the result of the election. Then, the end of program: donation of the smile or fine; all of the members sang the YMCA song. With the closing chime of the president, regular meeting in February was finished a little earlier from the scheduled time, because we had not dinner.
