Appeal February 2004: Let's cooperate for the TOF

We keep the meeting as CS/TOF night in February every year. Let's consider what is the TOF(time of fast), returning to starting point. The Y's Term Excerpt says: "It is a service activity where, to recognize the people who suffer from the hunger in the world, we fast in the club regular meeting of some month; we gather the meal charge of that month to the IHQ; we sacrifice it to the support goal toward each year."
The refugee support activity is spreading worldwide. But the disputing countries such as Afghanistan and Iraq continue to increase in addition to the regular countries in Africa and South America. We need to support the persons of these countries, too. While the people advocates the peace, the fact retrogresses to it; the sacrifice of the innocent people is expanding.
The other side, we are living an abundant life, called "time of repletion", which is being far from the hunger. In such a case, it is very proper that we fast in a regular meeting to give the meal charge to the troubled people.
Based on this idea, we gather the TOF donation with the CS donation in the regular meeting in February. I hope that all the members cooperate to offer a more donation.
