Report of Regular Meeting December 2004

Yasuhiro Kuroiwa, Secretary
Part 1: Christmas worship
The worship began in the chapel of Arcadia Ichigaya, presided by Mr. Kenzo Sato, with the musical performance of Ms. Naomi Tanaka. We sang the hymns of Christmas. After the reading of Bible and the prayer, Mr. Furuya, clergyman and member of the Tokyo Club, preached us under the title "Don't fear", that means "Don't be anxious". He illustrated: the parents who have the child of the autism can solve their distress by telling it to the other person; the people whose power is weak can pull out a big stock by gathering and cooperating. It is important to ask without fearing whether there is a solution which is more important, without worrying by ourselves. One child is born in this world where you are, and he sleeps in a feed tub being wrapped in a cloth. Go to find him. Also, Mr. Furuya introduced the idea "pay forward" which Mr. Shigeaki Hinohara proposed. God sent first his child, treasury whom he loved most ardently, to this world to release us from the sin. We must remember that all the events of Bible started from it. This year began in the war and ended in the war. The darkness seems dominate the inside of our heart in 2005, too. However, God sent us the Saviour who gives us a hope which shines in the darkness. Let's celebrate Christmas sincerely remembering it. The meeting donation was sacrificed as the Niigata Prefecture Chuetsu earthquake relief fund through the YMCA.
