Report of Regular Meeting June 2005

The last regular meeting of this year "Music Night" was held in the room no. 203 of the Bachelor's Hall. After Y's song, Y's principles, reading of the Bible and prayer, the President Mr. Yamamoto introduced guests and visitors. 11 youths were attended this month too. Next, Mr. Furuya introduced Ms. Tomoko Inoue, violoncellist and his old classmate of the Seminary of Bible, and Ms. Kaori Kobayashi, pianist. First, Ms. Inoue did a short explanation. They played Elgar's "Salute d'amour", Faure's "Elegy", Kreisler's "Love's Joy" and "Love's Sorrow", music of violin originally. Then played "the song of home town", japanese dearer melodies, and Cassado's "Requiebros" finally. It was the wonderful performance of full-scale classic music, uncommon in the regular meeting of the Y's Men's Clubs. All the attendants clapped magnificently.

After the members' news, the correction of the alticle 13-4 of the Rules of the Tokyo Club was reported. We approved it. The Convention of the Japan-East Region was reported. The diploma of the Most Excellent Menettes Prize was communicated. After the reports about our 75th Anniversary Commemoration Meeting, the YMCA and the Chhoto-Shawpno("small dream" in Bengalee, a group who supports the Bangladesh YMCA), we began the dinner. Meanwhile, the guests made a short speech. After the dinner, the transference ceremony of Mr. Takahiro Nagasawa was solemnly done. Mr. Takahiro Nagasawa greeted. All the attendants blessed Happy Birthday! and Happy Anniversary! Again, Ms. Inoue and Ms. Kobayashi played Piazzolla's "Libertango" and Saint-Saens's "Swan". The President Mr. Yamamoto acknowledged them. We sang the song of YMCA. The closing chime ended the wonderful and pleasant regular meeting.
