Appeal August 2005: Friendship and Service

The regular meeting of this month is done on a spa to change zest. We will surely have a time of pleasant association. This year, Mr. Asami, RD of the Japan-East Region, and Mr. Matsumoto, DG of the Toshin District put the word "friendship" into their subject. The President, Mr. Matsuda, declared the fullness of regular meeting as his primary activity policy to realize a pleasant club life.
The International Constitution says: "The primary purpose of the Y's Men's Club is to work as service club for the YMCA". This basic idea brings to the Y's Men's Club a value as Y's Men's Club.
On the other hand, we can serve to the YMCA without sign up to the Y's Men's Club. A lot of people who are not Y's Men are doing an excellent service activity. Well, for what purpose is there the Y's Men's Club? I think that the Y's Men's Club composes a opportunity of friendship and association; it strengthens the mind of service of each member; it ties their power; it makes their power big; in consequence, it makes them to do better function.
This year, I serve as chairman of Club Service Committee. I will provide a more harmonious and more pleasant friendship. I will help the Tokyo Club to do a good service beeing incorporated.
