Report of Regular Meeting September 2005

This month is the EMC emphasize month when we invite our friends and acquaintances to the regular meeting and recommend them to sign up. The member reinforcement is the important problem which is common to all the volunteer groups.
In the regular meeting in September, after guest introduction, the vice-president, Mr. Chino, read out "the Mission to the Peace", statement whitch the YMCA Union of Japan proposed to commemorate the 60th anniversary for the loss of the World War II and the atomic bombardment to Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the board of directors in the YMCA Union of Japan confirmed this appeal for the peace. All the attendants approved this statement with high tone where we declare the determination to make an effort toward the realization of peace.
The guest speaker is Mr. Nobuhiko Munakata, marketing general manager of the Dentsu Inc., past member of the Public Relations Committee of the Tokyo YMCA, also pastor of the United Church of Christ in Japan.
His lecture began on "What is organization?" He did an advanced speech using the slide about the key factor for the organization to live and activate himself on the viewpoint: "we can support society by the systematic marketing." When the organization will work lively and maintain his power, we always must grasp if the organization responds to the request of the society, and what the environment wants to the organization; and we must be adaptable to it. He explained enthusiastically: "the organization must have the power to support the change of the environment". We listened while we placed an activation of the Tokyo Club in the mind.
Measure to the Hurricane Urgent Relief Fund: we received an information from the YMCA: "about 20 YMCAs in the southern part of the United Stats received a devastating blow. The Y's Men International Japan-East Region decided to implement the Relief Fund. Receiving it, the Tokyo Club appealed the cooperation with the hurricane relief to the attendant members and the other attendees in the regular meeting in September. We gathered 32,110 yen of fund. We remitted the Japan-East Region.
The regular meeting approval matters: the past-treasurer reported the settlement of accounts of the previous year with the inspection. He submitted to it as the regular meeting approval agenda item and it was approved without the objection.

The committee report: Mr. Hayashi reported his stay in the Frost Valley YMCA for 3 weeks from July 23rd. Incidentally, Mr. Hayashi was installed in the Frost Valley program director.
The auction: we had an auction after a long time. The Kawagoe Club presented "Beni-aka", sweet potato of their specialty goods. We saled 31,700 yen with sweet series: chocolate, cookie, etc.
