Appeal November 2005: For Youth Night
Jiro Mochida, chairman of the CS Committee
We, Tokyo Club, reach the 75th anniversary of establishment February 6th, 2006. A lot of wonderful seniors left big footprints meanwhile. We work unifying our power for fulfil the mission of the YMCA while we learn the lesson which they left.
However, we can not avoid the aging of members. We crave that the youngsters would accede to the following times. We entrust them the future. For its purpose, we support the Y3-East(Young Y's Mens Club of the Japan-East Region), the MANDi("human, we" in the language of Garo tribe, a group who supports the Dhahapara Clinic of Bangladesh in the Tokyo YMCA), the Chhoto-Shawpno("small dream" in Bengalee, a group who supports the Bangladesh YMCA), the leaders who are sent to the Frost Valley YMCA from the Tokyo YMCA, the Youth Volunteer Leaders Forum, the Students' YMCA, the YEEP(Youth Educational Exchange Program), the STEP(Short Term Exchange Program), etc.
We invite these youngsters to the regular meeting of November and we will listen the story of their various experiences. Specifically, this day, we will have a pleasant dinner time together; our menettes will entertain them gathering a homemade meal.
I think that it is important to concentrate our power to the reinforcement of the YA(Youth Activeties) which takes the future for the development of the Y's Men's Clubs. I ask that we do the function which cherishes a desire to the future with Youth.
