Appeal December 2005: Y's Spirit

The season of Christmas is the time of pleasure for us. It is the pleasure to celebrate the birth of Christ who gave the people a hope of eternal life. For children, it is the pleasure that Santa Claus, who enters from the chimney with a big bag on shoulder, gives them a present in their socks hunged from the bed. The sound of Jingle bell which flows through the town at night is even the pleasure of commercial.
However, it is at this time that we consider on the people who are far from such pleasure: the people who have met a disaster and are living in a house without roof and electricity, looking up the stellar sky and depending on the flame of candle; the children of evacuee who are chased by the arms without sufficient meal; and the poor sick men who are suffering without appropriate treatments and medicines. It is the Y's spirit to gazes at the reality that there are a lot of people who are obstructed by the happiness; to continues the effort to distribute them our pleasure and happiness. It is the true pleasure of Christmas to provide willingly something which we can share: not only money but also labor, idea and various forms.
