Appeal January 2006: BF Letter

Shigeo Matsumoto, Chairman of the BF Committee

Happy New Year. Our club has bright news this year. Mr. Kenzo Sato has applied for BF delegate of full grant and been chosen; he visits Peru, Bolivia and Chile in the Latin America Region from March 25th to April 25th. Our club reached 75th anniversary since the charter but no person has used the right of BF delegate so far. One of the reasons is that, specifically, the BF delegate of full grant has the hard duty to visit a lot of clubs of other region and make an effort toward the development of the Y'sdom and the international friendship during one month.
We will respect the determination of Mr. Sato deeply, ask for his safe travel and re-recognize the meaning of the BF business once more as the whole club at this chance. Incidentally, following Mr. Sato, in this term Mr. Matsuda has applied for BF delegate of partial grant to participate in the International Convention in Pusan August 2006.
The guest speaker of the regular meeting in this month is Mr. Shigegu Murano, member of the Tokyo-Meguro Club, who visited Canada as BF delegate last year. I hope that he tells an interesting story. January is the BF emphasis month. Our club contributes the BF business in the top level in the Japan-East Region and in the International Association every year. And in the BF emphasis month, I request everybody's more cooperation this year too.
