Report of Regular Meeting March 2006

Meeting place: Arcadia Ichigaya, room "Phoenix"
The regular meeting of April was the LT night. We moved our meeting place to Ichigaya after a long time. The CS Committee requested to the attending members a donation of UGP, of equal to or more than 500 yen, which relates to the AIDS. The BF Committee collected 9.4‡s of used stamps until the end of March, which were bought with 5,800 yen. The YMCA Service Committee remitted 20,000 yen as the urgent relief fund to the Leyte Island earthquake on the Philippines.
Mr. Li-Han Huang, who returns home May to Taiwan, greeted. The Tokyo Club presented him a remembrance. The interested persons held a seeing off meeting for him in another meeting place after the regular meeting. Mr. Kuroiwa, chairman of theclub rule revision committee, explained the contents of the revision. The President introduced a revision plan. We approved it without objection.

The guest speaker was Mr. Masaaki Ohashi. He was engaged long time in the cooperation to the development of Bangladesh as a member of the Japan International Cooperation Agency or a residing member of the International Red Cross. He was related with Bangladesh for 26 years since 1980. He made an useful speech entitled "the problems of the development cooperation activity in Bangladesh" based on his experiences in this country about their actual condition: their history, present state, present situation which is called the eminent poverty of the world especially, the actual condition of the help for Bangladesh and its problems. We got great suggestion on our future's way of concern with Bangladesh. After the regular meeting, we organized a friendship meeting with him. The youth members, whose purpose of activity is the support of Bangladesh, got opportunity to listen his kinder explanation.
