Appeal April 2006: What is LT?

Even if there is no member as much as this title, many Y's men seem understand the LT(leadership training) insufficiently. But the "Excerpt of Y's Term" says: "All the leaders must receive enough study and training before taking the duty to prepare for the performing of their duty. In a narrow sense, the "leadership training" means the next term executive study and training done in the occasion of the district board and the region directorate. In a broad sense, it is the daily activity of the Y's men."
The LT Committee of the Japan-East Region is a concrete support corps to these. Its chairman is Mr. Tanaka, member of the Tokyo Club. Its report told that the activity of the LT Committee includes many things: revision of the various manuals, holding of the first preparation meeting of DG of next term, the general workshop of DG, executives of district and region of next term, the workshop of club presidents of next term, etc.
In the district, there are the workshop of club executives of next term sponsored by DG, the workshop in the district convention, etc.
The Tokyo Club will have a occasion of study and training for club activation except the regular meeting, place of self-training.
