Appeal June 2006: Beyond the three quarters century
Toshihiko Matsuda, President
The Tokyo Club exceeded the three quarters century. We are fine increasingly. The speed became late a little. We have difficulty in hearing. However, we still can continue our activities.
All the members were unified and made an effort this year. Therefore, our activities of this year will be written remarkably in the history of the Tokyo Club.
We could leave a big result: success of the big event, 75th Anniversary Commemorative Ceremony and commemorative business; support for Mr. Matsumoto, DG of the Toshin District, member of the Tokyo Club; support for the Frost Valley YMCA; lots of YMCA service business; CS business, "The Edo Castle Walk"; sending of the BF representative; IBC and DBC assembly. This result is made by the cooperation of the Y's men and the Y's menettes. I appreciate you heartedly.
When I remember this year now, I feel it short. Let's make this result a stepping stand and move forward more to aim at the stage upper in one rank with pleasure.
The following goals:
1. 50 members: reinforcement of the club members in quality and quantity.
2. establishment of the Tokyo Y's Youth Club, for the upbringing of Y's Youth who takes the following generation and the acceding to Y's movement.
3. pleasant club life: the most important thing is the enriched regular meeting.
The Tokyo Club aims at the ideal international service club with the service mind to the YMCA, the area and the neighbors.
