Report of Regular Meeting July 2006

The first regular meeting in this year "Kickoff Night" progressed according to the program of the regular meeting of July, presided by Mr. Kuroiwa. The first regular meeting of new year consists of a lot of main events: executives alternation ceremony, greeting of the old and new executives, official visit of the DG of the Toshin District and guest speech of Mr. Kazuhiko Takada, RD of the Japan-East Region. The greeting of the New President, Mr. Tetsuro Chino "Now is the best time" was an impressive greeting. Also, I respect the Past President, Mr. Toshihiko Matsuda's enthusiastic effort. Mr. Hasegawa, DG of the Toshin District, greeted, quoting "Now is the best time" of Mr. Chino. He complained of the regression in the starting point of the Y's activities. We all sent him an clapping of approval.

Mr. Takada, RD of the Japan-East Region lectured with the theme: "Y's activities which aim at peace. Let's work with pride pleasantly". He appealed: "From peace to keep to peace to nourish - SAY NO TO VIOLENCE". Mr. Takada insisted on the opinion: "the YMCA is a verandah". That is the starting point of the Y's Men's Clubs. He emphasized the Y's meaning: "The place of encounter of a person with an other person". Also, he emphasized the re-recognization of "My Y's": "Let's recall our encounter with the Y's Men's Club." I sympathized with it. He talked about the EMC: "Let's prevent a drop out and make zero retirement" and the activation of the club activity: "Harmony, Group, Association and Talk are important for its purpose." I had a deep interest for hislecture. At the dinner time, we took Well-B's a fancy luxurious box lunch. We enjoyed the lively conversation.
We contributed 21,307 yen to the smile fine and 6,800 yen to the Bangladesh fund.
