Appeal July 2006: Now is the best time
Tetsuo Chino, President
I read Tasha Tudor's book (photos and short sentences), whose japanese translator, one of my acquaintances, had presented it to me recently. She lives in State of Vermont of USA. She is 90 years old. She has a genius of the picture and the gardening. She builds a wonderful garden. Her positive and natural life fascinates me most. Following her life, I want to execute the duty of president, not straining myself but as neatly as possible. The Tokyo Club succeeded in the commemorative business of 75th anniversary with the leadership of the chairman and the cooperation of members, and won the "Most Excellent Club" award this year in the Regional Convention. It is the result of each effort of president and members. I congratulate it. But I must think that the president who takes over after that cannot appreciate a delicious wine made by the first squeeze for a while? Then I saw the title of Tasha's book: "Now is the best time". This word suggested to me. I must think that "now is the best time" for me and the Tokyo Club, because now I can continue an activity daily based on Y'sdom supported by the expert members.
I don't seem to be able to do a great enterprise. However, I want to achieve seriously what I can do. The subject of the president: "Let's begin a small thing whitch we can do." By all means, I request your cooperation.
