Report of Regular Meeting August 2006

Hiroshi Nagasawa, Secretary
August Sat. 19th 2pm - Sun. 20th 10am at the Seisen Dormitory of the Keep Society
The "Summer Wellness" regular meeting of August was held at the Seisen(pure spring) Dormitory in Kiyosato Highland on the foot of the Yatsugatake mountains with the cool wind. It was the extremely pleasant regular meeting in the wonderful environment. The regular meeting of 19th began presided by Mr. Takahiro Nagasawa in the Fureai(contact) Center Hall a little left from the main building of the Seisen Dormitory with the opening chime of the President Chino. The guest speaker was Mr. Naohiro Masuda, supervisor of the Business Section of the Environment Business Division of the Keep Society. The title is "The environment education business of the Keep Society".
Its summary: "The Keep Society tries the various experiments on the environment education in Kiyosato. The key words "educational" and "experimental" have a relation. Also, we try them as business, not as volunteer merely. Our ice cream business in which we sell 700,000 pieces annually is an example. There are three ways to solve the environment problem: the regulation, the technical innovation and the environment education. The Keep Society makes efforts in the environment education in which we esteem the nature experience: the play in the nature makes us master the importance of the nature. It is not a goal but a starting point. We deal not only with the children but the cooperation program with the companies."
Happy Birthday: we celebrated Mr. Chino, Mr. Shoji and Ms. Michiko Matsumoto. Happy Anniversay: no person. Members' news: the International Convention was reported; I quote specially that Mr. Ryozo Matsumoto, our member and past DG of the Toshin District, won the Elmer Crowe Award.

[Hard trekking on a steep cliff road]

We took supper at the dining room of the main building of the Seisen Dormitory. We enjoyed the japanese and western luxurious meal. After dining, the friendship meeting was done on the hall. It progressed busily with alcohol brout by several members. We bursted into laughter when all the members dansed in guide of Ms. Isoda, President of the Y's Menettes Club of Tokyo. 20th, next day, after the early morning worship and the breakfast, we implemented a trail tour to the Kawamata ravine. It was the hard trekking on a steep cliff road. We ended it safely and pleasantly.
