Appeal January 2007: What I think in the beginning of the year
Ryozo Matsumoto, Chairman of the BF Committee
The Y's Men's year starts in July. But the word "New Year" tenses us naturally and makes in us a mind to exert this year, too.
I, whose blood type is "A"(be hasty), view the near future, specifically the events. I'll submit to the scolding: "We have ended the event of 75th anniversary recently."
The Tokyo Club sends Mr. Tanaka and several members as DG and executives of the Toshin District 2007-2008. Let's back up his system completely. Moreover, the International Convention is planed to be held in Japan in August 2010. It is formally fixed in August of next year. Let's consider this schedule.
Then, we will do a event of 80th anniversary in February or March 2011, because the Tokyo Club was chartered on February 6th 1931.
Thinking so, 4 years are never long time. Of course, we wish to continue our activities lively 5 years later, 10 years later, and after that, in the eternal future. However I'll break off my talk here.
While let's settle on the long-range plan. It is useful to follow the report of the Long-range Vision Committee made in June 1999, because we executed some items after that.
