Appeal March 2007: Let's imitate a hummingbird.
Yukiko Isoda, President of the Tokyo Y's Menettes Club
I feel lightness of my mind and body suddenly in the beginning of March. The Tokyo Club has the Menettes Night regular meeting in the season of Hina-matsuri(Japanese traditional festival for girls) every year. We invite a good guest speaker who talks about the AIDS this year. Even if we are interested in it usually, we cann't know its actual condition readily. We want to learn it in this opportunity. The speaker of the regular meeting of February talked on the AIDS too in his speech: "the Poorness of the world not to leave". The measure against the AIDS becomes a mainstream of the Tokyo Club accidentally. We listen to the lecture of the AIDS in the two continuous regular meetings. We are sure to have an intense impression about the AIDS.
In September of last year, we visited the Keimei Academy which we had wanted to visit for a long time. Since actually we looked at the state of the academy to which we support a little, we felt close to it. We want to visit the Asian Rural Institute, our another target to support, in the near future.
I am very glad about an accord of my thought with the theme of the President Mr. Chino in this term: "Let's begin a small thing whitch we can do". Hummingbirds carry one drop of water diligently against the brushfire with their small bill. It is a impressive scene. They always seem to have an intention of the small act of love. The Y's Menettes charge a mind in the Least Coins and the small donation.
I always want that the menettes clubs continue forever with the YMCA and the Y's men's clubs.
