Appeal April 2007: In the period of cherry blossoms

This year, because of a mistake in the forecast of cherry blossoms, I am more impatient at cherry blossoms than normal years. It is comfortable for my mind which is not so young anymore to feel bright and have a buoyant and cheerful expectation to the beginning of spring in this season every year.
I remember that the cherry blossoms seemed to give me, a new pupil, a dream and hope to begin now at elementary school, senior high school and university.
In the later several springs, on bank of Potomac, in ruin of castle of Takato in Shinshu, in samurai residence of Kakunodate, in Zempukuji Park, on embankment of Shukugawa, in Kami-no-sembon of Yoshino, on bank of Meguro river, in Yasukuni shrine, in Chidorigafuchi, I saw the cherry blossoms bring a thought of each year. Still, why all the cherry blossoms in my memory let me feel a kind of mysteriousness which seems to wrap my soul while creating gaiety? Blossoms in this year resemble blossoms in last year. But I in this year am not same as me in last year. Today is not the tomorrow of yesterday.
This year, I see cherry blossoms bringing what feeling? Next year I see cherry blossoms where? I want to try to think about the Y'sdom with a small cup of sake.
