Report of Regular Meeting June 2007

Hiroshi Nagasawa, Past-Secretary

We had a successful regular meeting, happy Club Life Night, last meeting in this term, getting 56 attendants. We had the second 100% attendance in this term with the makeup. In the prayer, Mr. Kuroiwa told memorial words to Mr. Kawata and Mr. Shin Tanaka who were called in the sky in this term. Firstly, the President Mr. Chino handed the chairmans of the business committees the testimonials of 13 awards, ex. the first place of the TOF contribution award for the average amount of the member's contribution, commended in the Convention of the Japan-East Region 2006-2007 which was held on June 2nd - 3rd. In addition, the postage stamp for the New Year's cards contribution award was conferred to Mr. Mochida as personal award. As international BF commendation, the Alf Reynolds award and the Top Ten award were reported and transmitted.

Next Mr. Daisuke Watanabe, Youth member who visits Norway in the STEP, was presented the support money from the Toshin District by the DG Mr. Hasegawa, the support money from the Japan-East Region by Mr. Hosokawa and support money from the Tokyo Club by the PC Mr. Chino. Mr. Watanabe told his thanks and said that he will report well the situation of the camp and the Area Convention in Europe.
We blessed Mr. Kenzo Sato, Mr. Ryozo Matsumoto, Ms. Tsuyuzaki and Mr. Daisuke Watanabe in Happy Birthday and Mr. Hosokawa in Happy Anniversary.

The regular meeting of this month was Club Life Night. We heard the annual music performance. Ms. Takako Fuke and Mr. High-tide Harris showed a really splendid song and piano performance. The program is: "Smile" that was made for the movie of Chaplin "Modern Times", "Precious Road" constant seller of gospel and best work of Thomas Dawsey, "Amazing Grace" text by John Newton which all of you knows, "Summer Time" of fork opera, "Georgia on my mind" of Ray Charles, "Always" basic of marriage songs, "Route 66", "What a wonderful world". The full-scale gospels, which we have not heard for a long time, impressed all the members.
